Little Black Dress (LBD) Edition

Hi Friends!

I hope that you all are doing well.
Today, I want to share with you one of my favorite Little Black Dresses from my favorite store - Target!! I have recently started experimenting with street style looks and on a recent weekend getaway, the two looks below are what I came up with! I wore the same dress but with different shoes to give it a different look.

It is from the Who What Wear Collection from Target. This LBD is extremely versatile, can be dressed up or down, with and without a belt, with and without accessories. Both of the looks below are my versions of my Street Style.

--Roasted Eggplant with Tahini --

Hi, Friends!

Below is the recipe to my Monday Munchies Insta Post.
I used to hate eggplants but recently have had a change of heart and started to play around with recipes. Today, I bring you one of my favorite ways to eat eggplants!

--Rajma Masala--

Hi Friends!

Below is the recipe to my Monday Munchies Insta Post.

Rajma is probably my ALL time favorite dish. Although nothing beats the rajma I have had the opportunity to have in Rajasthan, this one turned out quite well!

--Baked Brie Bites--

Below is the recipe to my Monday Munchies Insta Post. The recipe was a bit long to type out under the post so I am posting it here!

I love Brie and if you do too, then these will be great for you to try! These are perfect to serve at a party as appetizers!

--Easy Zucchini Boats--

Below is the recipe to my Monday Munchies Insta Post. The recipe was a bit lengthy to type out under the post and I didn't want a SUPER long caption.

I love these boats! They are super easy to make, they are delicious and filling.

--Handbag Edition--

Hi Friends! Today, I am bringing you a designer dupe post!! This one is a handbag edition. I want to get one thing clarified before we get into the post:

Dupes = NOT fake. I like to think of them as designer inspired.

Designers work hard on their design and I am sure it does not feel good to have their designs replicated. However, for a lot of people (like me), some of these bags are SO expensive! For example, the cost of the Hermes bag could do wonders towards my student loans or even a down payment for a house. So, although they are gorgeous designs, sometimes the price tag just isn't up everyone's alley. ENTER dupes :)

Here are a few of my favorite designer bags and their dupes...

Quito | Travel Guide

Today, we are sharing our thoughts on a city that quite simply put, stole our hearts. Quito is probably one of the most beautiful cities we have visited. The people, the culture, the food, the music, the location, the ambiance of the city, it all grows on you and leaves a lasting impression for a lifetime to come!! Oh and not to mention, everything is extremely affordable!

The City of Quito

Otavalo | Travel Guide

-Overview -
Visually speaking the town of Otavalo itself isn’t anything extravagant. The town has retail shops selling everything from tv’s to sneakers to popular apparel to traditional artifacts.  It is a clash between modern and traditional Ecuadorian culture.  However, look at what is around the town and your mouth is guaranteed to drop open. The beautiful Andean highlands, the hidden lakes, the volcanic craters, the peaks, the volcanoes and the small villages surrounding the town, it is all a treat for the eyes and the soul.

Off the shoulder dresses are here to stay! I have to be honest when the trend first started rising about two years ago, I was hesitant in wearing them because I didn't like the way it was looking on me. Fast forward to now, with more and more brands coming out with better designs compared to before that are suited for all shapes and sizes, it is safe to say I am in LOVE with this trend!!

I picked this blush off the shoulder dress from Express recently and wore it out while exploring Bourbon Street in New Orleans.  It comes in white as well! It was very comfortable to wear.

Pair it with a fringe bag and some lace sandals for boho vibes!

Here is another Look Book Post! I just got back from Quito and boy was it an amazing experience! I have so much to say about the place but I will save that for its very own post.

The weather in Quito was unpredictable and it looked like the weather apps were far from accurate. From our experience, generally, it was sunny in the morning hours, drizzled a little through the afternoon and was a little chilly at night time.

I would highly recommend taking a light jacket with a hood or an umbrella with you!

Let's get into the lookbook for this trip!

Phuket Province | Travel Guide
Quite a diverse “ Island” in Thailand.  Although it may not feel like you are on an island given it’s size, it is surrounded by water. Based on where you stay, you can have an entirely different experience. However, no matter what kind of experience you want, Phuket can provide. If you want the city life, you can get that in Patong City. If you want to go island hopping, you can go to Phi Phi islands. If you want a laid back holiday, then Karon and Kata is the area for you.

Luang Prabang| Travel Guide

Time stands still in this ancient capital of Laos. Your mind enters a next level of peace and spiritual enlightenment. The town is very small, almost village-like and sits along the meeting points of Nam Khan River and Mekong River.  The aura of the “sabai sabai” Laotian lifestyle can be felt no matter what part of town you are in. The entire town is a designated UNESCO Heritage site and the moment you arrive, it becomes apparent as to why: Monks in saffron colored robes, stunning 33 Buddhist Temples, Indochinese villas, a diverse cuisine and soulfully content folks. As if that wasn’t enough, the entire town is surrounded by lush green mountains. This is a place that can make your soul happy, it certainly did for us.

FYI - Laos is its own country. A lot of misconception exists that it is part of Vietnam or Thailand.
